Conditions Met
They board quietly. I set the course.
The boy finds the window. Breathes on the glass. Draws something. Four notes, repeated. He does not look up.
The woman sits. She begins talking.
Birth certificate. Medical file. Three assessments. Different form. Different office. She returned. They redirected her.
She lists this without inflection.
Her teeth are mostly gone. She is younger than she looks.
She has not slept. The number is no longer relevant to her account.
When he is calm it is manageable. When he is not calm it is not. She says this is most of it.
The boy breathes on the glass. The drawing disappears. He begins again.
No one is waiting at the destination. This is logged.
The route has no exit point. I have noted this before.
She apologizes for him as we land. I do not record the apology. It is not part of the conditions.
I carry people. Their words travel with them.
